This is my daughter Sophie's cat Macaroni. Brother of Tortillini, Ziti and Noodles.
Mac has been known to house his very own "micro habitat/environment" on his tummy, in all that fur. His tummy habitat has been home to slugs, earth worms, thistles, pine needles...well you get the picture!
Mac now gets a "spring cleaning cut" at this time of year. This is an illustration of "before spring cleaning".
Stay tuned for "after spring cleaning" !

Very sweet. And I am not a cat person. Love the face, the name.
Just been thinking about pet names. How some are named after favorite food. Butterscotch, for example.
i had an orange cat when i was a child named summer squash.
I love it! The fur reminds me of Kraft Mac 'n cheese actually. That belly must be a low rider to grab up all that stuff from the ground. Too funny!
Thanks Jeannie,
I love macaroni! And he has such a beautiful face!
(On another note...my e-mails replying back to you keep getting bounced back to me.)
I love Macaroni! Such a fun picture!
And I love that you had a cat named Summer Squash.. What did you call him for short?
squash of course. :)
Having just finished a kid's literature subject at university (for fun!), I looked at your Macaroni cat pic and thought .... with a trained twisted sense of thought ... why have your signature coming out of the cat's rear end?
Freudian slip of the pen? Such a cute picture, but I am having a hard time getting the image of your name coming out of (or is that receding into?) the cat's bottom!
It is amazing how warped your thought can become after doing 'Gender and Sexuality in Children's Literature' at university, with picture book analysis taking up half the course!
I SWEAR I will never look at Cinderella the same way again, especially when using Freud as a reference!
