Friday Valentine

I have been toying with a Valentine idea all week. I wanted to post one on my new blog. (excuse the double posting, is that like double dipping?)

My friend Nor gave me this red and white Hungarian embroidered pillow. I decided to play with the design. I would like to refine it a bit more. I tried to just give myself 30 minutes to sketch a post. Ah, well.

I've been bugged by this drawing and decided to have another go at it. Probably my last. I love how Photoshop lets me reinvent my work, without losing the orginal.

Illustration Friday

Ok. Let's all try.

Here's a sketch I did today. Just playing again. Trying to see what I can do with Photoshop and also wheter I can begin to move my work in different directions. It's rough and crude, but man was it fun. Will work more on it.

The knitter and the woodpecker

I'm working on an essay about knitting for the woodpecker in our backyard. I've been itchy to draw so did some illustratios/sketches to push me along.

Here's a promo piece that I did. Our guinea pigs Snowflake and Marshmallow modeled for me.

Here's one more that I did at the last minute to add to the previous sample:
